Ms. Merickel is an ecologist with over a decade of experience working on environmental permitting and compliance projects, primarily in the Pacific Northwest, Nevada, and California. Ms. Merickel’s graduate studies focused on parasite-host relationships among trematodes, waterbirds, and invasive snails in the Mississippi River. Other focus areas include disturbance ecology, coevolutionary concepts, and invasive species biology. She provides technical expertise for a wide variety of environmental review documents, including Biological Assessments (BAs), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects, Environmental Risk Assessments (ERAs), and permitting. Ms. Merickel conducts wetland and ordinary high water mark delineations in the Western Mountains and Valleys and Arid West regions. She also conducts biological surveys, noxious weed surveys, and rare plant surveys.
